Bites and room location do not identify an insect.
Bed bugs, fleas and non-pest causes can produce reports that sound similar. We look for live specimens, spotting, cast skins, distribution around resting places, pet history and the timing of symptoms. A securely retained specimen or clear photograph can assist triage.
Cockroach sightings require species, harbourage and extent to be considered. Spraying visible insects may drive activity away from the point where monitors and targeted treatment would be most informative.
Mouse evidence around a kitchen needs droppings, gnawing, sounds and entry clues. Emptying every cupboard is not automatically helpful; the technician may first need to see how food, appliances and service gaps relate.
If the diagnosis remains uncertain, an inspection or monitoring phase protects the customer from incompatible preparation. A room should not be stripped for bed bugs because one unexplained bite occurred.

Should I clear a bedroom after unexplained bites?+
Not before identification advice. Bites alone do not confirm bed bugs, and moving bedding or furniture can change where insects are found.
Is preparation for heat treatment the same as other bed bug work?+
No. Thermal work requires assessment of room contents, heat-sensitive items and suitability. Follow the checklist issued for the method actually proposed.
Can I spray cockroaches before the technician arrives?+
Avoid unapproved spraying. Repellent products can disturb activity and interfere with monitoring or targeted placement. Record the sighting and keep a specimen safely if possible.
When can treated rooms be cleaned normally?+
The answer depends on product and surface. Some areas can return to normal hygiene quickly, while treated edges, monitors or control points must remain undisturbed.
Who needs to leave during treatment?+
That depends on the selected method and area. Tell us about children, pets, vulnerable occupants and allergies so departure and re-entry instructions can be confirmed.
