Suppose cockroaches are seen beside a kitchen appliance. The first check considers the specimen, frequency, warmth, moisture and harbourage within that kitchen. If signs continue towards pipe boxing or occur in another unit, coordinated inspection may be justified. The shared connection is a question to test, not a conclusion based on the building type.
Mouse droppings require a different chain. Their size, position and freshness are considered alongside gnawing, rub marks, food access and gaps around services. Control points must be safely positioned before a demonstrated route is sealed; premature proofing can redirect movement.
For flies, identification matters before drains, refuse or stored material are blamed. Small drain-associated flies, cluster flies and flies developing in decaying material call for different source searches. A clear specimen and the room where it gathers can prevent broad, ineffective spraying.
Each finding should lead either to treatment, monitoring, preparation or an action by the responsible party. Where access stops, the record should say so and identify the next permission needed.
